Are you kidding me?!? This is what big people food tastes like! And to think I've been dying to try it. This must be some sort of joke!

On Monday Torrance experienced her first try of big people food. a.k.a. rice cereal She was so excited when she saw it coming, but when it hit her tongue she didn't seem to know what to do or what to think of it. I of course thought it was hilarious, but I do tend to find joy in others pain! J/K She was really cute while eating, though I don't think much made it into her tummy. :)

The Host

For those who are curious I did finish The Host. My review is this, the first 70 pages were really out there for me. I'm not big into alien crap so that was hard, but once I got past all the alien mumbo jumbo I really got into this book. It's definitely different than anything I've ever read but I really did enjoy it. When I heard the story line I thought I wouldn't like it, but I read it for my mother-in-law and I'm glad I did. That Stephenie Meyer is a sneaky one. Somehow she's tricked me into liking science fiction, very sneaky indeed!

Dadda

We all knew who her favorite was from the beginning, but just in case we didn't notice she decided to tell us herself! Sad for me!
Oh Cody! ~sigh~ So I bought this really cute two piece swimming suit for Torrance and was all excited to show Cody until......well, he didn't really think it was as cute as I did. As a matter of fact he hated it. He told me, "it's never to early to teach modesty." She's just a baby, it's not like she's even 5 or old enough to know what she's wearing. Plus she was wearing nothing but her diaper the other day with tons of people around and he didn't seem to find that immodest. Hmmmm.... It actually makes me happy. Cody's going to be a great dad! :)

Her dad is all about intellectual stimulus and she takes reading very seriously as well, can ya tell?

Torrance can't sit up on her own yet, but if we prop her up in the couch corner she usually stays up. I say usually because sometimes if you're not watching she will fall forward on her face, not off the couch or anything but she doesn't like it for obvious reasons. When I'm in the kitchen I can see through to the living room where she sits on the couch but I'm going to show you how I know whether or not she's tipped over. It's really kind of funny. As long as i see the mohawk i know she's ok.

So we got a Bumbo chair to help Torrance to learn to sit up and she looks so cute in it. She loves to sit and look out our big front window. Here are a few pics of her hanging out with dad while I'm at work.

Well after much consideration we decided not to use our fish tank as a play pen. So here it is all set up with about twelve fish in it...I still want more, but Cody keeps saying no. I don't know why though, because I always get what I want in the end anyway! hehe ;) We have to change 15 gallons or water out of this bad boy everyweek,or I mean Cody does! :) Lucky guy, he has all the fun these days. I must also tell you all how multi-talented my husband is, not only can he fix cars but he is also pretty good at carpentry work even with limited tools. Yes, he custom built the stand without any plans, just went with the flow.

The house was packed to see this little cutie open his presents!

Kaiden's 1st Birthday!

Let's get this party started says Kaiden. I think he liked his party even if he didn't know what was going on. Torrance had a good time screaming and spitting. I think she wanted to play with cousin Kaiden because he was having such a good time with all his new toys.

She loves to smile.

Hooray, finally!

I am excited to announce that The Pink Pony may finally be running by this weekend. I am having a girls day out tomorrow so I gave Cody permission to work on the Mustang all day long. Ok so I want it to be done just as bad as he does. I want to drive it again. I kind of feel like some old boring parent now, I need to race to feel the adrenaline of youth again! Having a girls day and getting to drive the pony...what a great weekend.

She was three weeks old in this video. Of course she was being so cute and funny with her dad all in the one hour that I was gone. How rude!
Can you tell our lives have shifted focus just a little bit since our new arrival. She is our life now, so get used to seeing Torrance, Torrance, and more Torrance! :) Look mom I learned a new trick.

Welcome to earth cousin Adley, says Torrance. Adley Rae Warner chose the 18th to make her all star appearance in the Warner Family. Torrance is so excited to have a girl cousin so close to her age. I don't know I think these two my be quite the dynamic duo when they get together. Girls with Attitude, look out world! Here is a cute little video of Adley's wimpy little cry. :)
